Community Support
Carlisle Mencap provide outreach support in the community for adults with learning disabilities to do a variety of different activities and support them to be as independent as possible.
As well as providing the client with the correct level of support to be independent in the community or home our support will also give families a break whilst at the same time providing a quality service to the client. Each support package we give is different as they are all person centred, they range from 1 hour to 50 hours a week and can be financed in many different ways from direct payments to contracts or ISF's. We work flexibly to meet the clients needs and have a large highly skilled staff team. We have been providing support in people's home and in the community for over 20 years and believe in supporting people to reach their goals.
We can offer support any day of the week, at any time and we regularly provide help for people to attend appointments, go shopping, prepare meals, go to college, attend day services, attend medical or dental appointments, go to the gym or exercise classes, go swimming, do household jobs, go to work or volunteer or take part in leisure activities like bowling or playing pool- we work flexibly to fit in with what you the client wants to get from your support.
