Toys and equipment boost

CARLISLE Mencap are thrilled to have received a very welcome boost of £500 worth of sporting equipment and toys from Active Cumbria.

Aileen Grant, a development officer with Active Cumbria, visited our Grace Little Centre in north Carlisle, to present the items to our CEO Sheila Gregory, Grace Little Centre manager Stuart Cowper, and team leader Dan Campbell.

The items included table tennis sets, skittles, hula hoops, beach balls, bean bags, chime balls, boccia sets and basketball nets. Service users will also be able to improve their tennis and badminton skills too thanks to the donation.
