We have received a gold investors in people award and we make sure that all staff receive training, shadow shifts, regular supervision, team meetings and support from team leaders and managers.
We often have vacancies for support workers and you do not need to have any previous experience of working with learning disabilities to work for us as full training will be provided. What is important is that you are enthusiastic, forward thinking, have a sense humour and prepared to go the extra mile to make a difference.

All new staff employed receive induction training which covers all areas laid out in the Essential Standards of quality and safety.
This includes Safeguarding, Health and Safety, Basic Food Hygiene, Moving and Handling, Emergency First Aid, Learning disability, Communication Skills, Challenging behaviour and Positive communication.
Additional training also includes Epilepsy Awareness, Buccal Midazolam and Buccalam, Diabetes, Autism Awareness, Makaton, Person Centred Planning, Team Teach, Medication Administration as well as in house training such as Fire Safety and Hoist Training. We also offer person specific training for suction machines, peg feeds, pump feed training and challenging behaviour.
We also offer QCF Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (adults) and Level 3 Diploma for Children's and young people's workforce.
